About Rodolfo

For many, studying and practicing chemical engineering sounds intensive. For me, however, I gravitated towards this career path because it gave me the opportunity to fulfil my passion for math, chemistry and science. After graduating, I leveraged my education to build a strong background in process simulation, control, optimization, and design. For more than 20 years, I've been applying and building upon this knowledge to improve air quality and create a more sustainable environment for all by reducing carbon emissions in the oil and gas industry worldwide.

Currently, I serve as the Petro-SIM Product Champion with KBC, gaining unparalleled experience in software research and development as well as providing customer training and technical support. This experience has given me the opportunity to establish myself as a subject matter expert in industrial technology solutions, research and development, technical support, and customer training for our advanced software solutions, also known as digital twins.

My career took off with ICA-Fluor Daniel. In this role, I was involved in chemical engineering activities that included process engineering, quality assurance and project management.

I hold a Ph.D. in Chemical Engineering from the University of Calgary, and I am a Professional Engineer registered in the province of Alberta, Canada. While presenting to clients and at conferences around the globe, I am proud to call Canada home.

Outside of work, I enjoy the great outdoors, collecting fountain pens, and doing woodworking projects at home.
