Expert in: Process Simulation Software and Digital Twins
I joined KBC almost 15 years ago as the technical advisor of Petro-SIM for multinational clients. The majority of this time, I have spent in the software services team where I have had a rewarding experience working very closely with customers in EMEA & FSU.
As part of the product management team, my focus is on continuous improvement and application expansions of Petro-SIM Digital Twins, including emerging technologies such as AI and ML. My drive has been to collaborate directly with customers to achieve the most value from integrating process models in their business tools and processes to improve plant profitability.
I started my career as a process engineer at an engineering company in Portugal, Technoedif (former Technip Portugal) where I conducted engineering design studies for both the petroleum refining and petrochemical industries. I earned my Chemical Engineering masters degree at the Instituto Superior Técnico in Portugal.
In my spare time, I enjoy spending quality time with my husband and son. We love biking, adventurous long walks, and visiting the amusement parks, cinema, theatre, and museums.
