Expert in: Energy management and sustainable manufacturing
As the Global Services Leader, I am passionate about improving energy efficiency, managing emissions and minimizing energy costs to achieve sustainable manufacturing. My role involves leading service teams that implement technology solutions to help industrial complexes sustain their benefits.
With the expectation that renewable energies will play a key role in the petrochemical industry, I contribute to the current energy transition by using digital twins to bring decarbonization to life. I have been directly involved in the implementation of solutions for energy management, energy optimization and monitoring, and emissions management in more than 30 large industrial complexes, mainly petrochemical sites in Europe, the Middle East, and Asia. By implementing energy real-time optimization, I have contributed to reduce large industrial complexes’ energy costs by over 5%.
My experience spans both practice and scholarly research. I have worked for nearly three decades in chemical engineering, specifically process engineering and computer science applications. Before joining KBC, I served as the executive vice president at Soteica in Barcelona. Prior to that, I conducted research at the Universitat Politècnica de Catalunya. Other engineering experience includes Dow Chemical Company.
I am passionate about world history and strategic sports, particularly football and chess. I value my family and having faith.
I earned my Ph.D. in Chemical Engineering from the Universitat Politècnica de Catalunya. My doctoral thesis is titled, "Fault diagnosis in chemical plants integrated to the information system."
