Expert in: Supply Chain Scheduling
My passion for process engineering can be traced back to my lifelong desire to tackle global challenges. With more than 25 years of experience in process systems engineering, I began my career as a Professor of Systems Engineering and Senior Researcher, which led to a rich publication record. I've authored over 30 publications in leading academic research journals and spoken at conferences worldwide to discuss chemical process modeling, simulation and optimization, supply chain management and development of computational tools for decision support in process industries. In addition, I've led over 10 international projects implementing supply chain technologies.
I joined KBC in 2017. Currently, I'm the Product Champion and Software Development Lead for the Visual MESA Supply Chain Scheduling System. Before this, I was a Technical Director at Soteica Visual MESA and started the Decision Support Systems Division with a particular focus in Advanced Supply Chain Management technologies for the process industry. Under my leadership, the division accomplished the first successful implementation of an e-commerce supply chain project in Latin America in 2001.
I hold a Ph.D. in Chemical Engineer from Universidad Nacional del Litoral in Argentina. Following graduation, I was invited to conduct post-doctoral research at the Massachusetts Institute of Technology, MIT. As an outdoor enthusiast, I enjoy watersports and consider myself an amateur musician who can easily combine open water swimming with guitar sessions.
