We have an opportunity in our Singapore office for a Graduate Chemical Engineer. 

 

Main Aspects of the Job:

KBC is a leading software and consulting service provider for the energy and chemical industry. The successful candidate will be working as part of a team in the process and energy consulting business line, typical projects include Process modelling, Energy Studies, Strategic Analysis, Process trouble shooting and Process optimization.

The role is an excellent career starting point in energy industry, petrochemical industry and decarbonization technologies. Willingness to learn is essential. A strong interest to modelling work using process simulation tools, such as Petro-SIM (HYSYS) or equivalent would be advantageous. Good data analysis and presentation skills are also required for this role.

The candidate is expected to have a willingness to travel to client’s location when required and up to 25% of the time.

Main Roles and Responsibilities:

  • Compile client data and reconcile mass balance.
  • Simulation modelling and calibration in Petro-SIM of individual process units or multi units’ flowsheet.
  • Apply simulation tolls to analyse economics of process and energy improvement opportunities (for example payback, NPV and IRR).
  • Participation of client facing projects or work streams. Prepare and present study outcomes to client.
  • Assistance in proposal technical preparation when required.

Position Requirements:

  • BEng / MEng in Chemical/ Process engineering or equivalent experience.
  • Good organisational skills and ability to meet deadlines within budget and achievement of planned margins.
  • Proficient in data analysis.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills (excellent English skills, both written and oral) and the ability to deal with colleagues and clients professionally.
  • Ability to work well in team environment under supervision and willingness to assist others.
  • Display a high level of professionalism towards colleagues and as an ambassador of the company.
  • Must be a self-starter that demonstrates a flexible approach.
