Expert in: Upstream
I have 30 years of experience across the upstream, midstream and energy consulting space — and I now lead the Upstream practice at KBC. Before joining KBC in 2023, I held roles of increasing responsibilities at Schlumberger, ExxonMobil, Hess Corporation, Mubadala Energy and Lekoil Ltd, which gave me a solid mix of field engineering, commercial and executive leadership experience.
In one of my recent roles, I headed Corporate Strategy at Mubadala Energy in the UAE and managed the strategic planning process and economics evaluation that supported over hundreds of millions of dollars annually in capital deployment. At Lekoil, I led the Gas & Power midstream subsidiary from formation to revenue generation readiness within three years via development of gas processing facilities to capture and monetize produced gas versus flaring in the Niger Delta.
My career began as a field engineer with Schlumberger, where I also served as a Quality Coach and Operations Manager. Those early days grounded me in the technical side of the oil and gas business, which still guides how I work today.
My career has given me extensive life and work experience across North America, South America, Africa and the Middle East. I hold a BSc (Hons) in Mechanical Engineering from the University of Ilorin (Nigeria), and an MBA from The Wharton School at the University of Pennsylvania.
Some of my personal interests include golf and studying the history and geography of ancient civilizations.
