Grass roots training program

A Japanese government development agency engaged KBC to develop a training program for a new grass roots facility, including associated project timelines and a high-level budgetary estimate. Advice was required on how to approach opening a new facility from scratch, including training and organizational design.

The challenge

The framework had to consider diverse local populations with varying degrees of education and English language skills.

Solution

KBC defined a training and development timeline and provided a 50% commercial estimate for the development and delivery of the training required. The framework included approaches for establishing a human resources department, recruiting staff and providing training for:

  • New hires
  • Operations, technical and maintenance staff
  • Managers
  • Support function personnel such as safety and security staff

The results

The client was fully satisfied with the training program framework, rating it 4 on a scale of 1 (poor) to 4 (excellent) in their feedback response.
