VM APAC Sales Executive

Main Aspects of Job:

  • The VM APAC Sales Executive is responsible for maintaining the KBC Visual MESA (VM) business in the APAC region. Reporting to the Global VM Business Line Leader, this role will establish and maintain relationships with customers by monitoring needs, identifying opportunities, and growing the account relationships.
  • Responsible for regional sales targets for the VM business in territory assigned by the Global VM Business Line Leader.
  • To assist the Global VM Business Line Leader to manage and grow the VM business in APAC. Areas of responsibility include Sales Analysis, Forecasting and Reporting management and Proposals and Contracts administration management.
  • Has a supporting role for parent Yokogawa in region
  • Liaises with all internal parties necessary to ensure market success: VM Product Management, VM Operations, Marketing and the regional / global Business Development Team, KBC’s other Technology and Consulting Business lines and Yokogawa.

  • Main Roles and Responsibilities:

  • Responsible for VM Awards in APAC to achieve E&S regional sales targets
  • Assist the Global VM Business Line Leader in developing and maintaining VM long term strategic and annual business plan for APAC.
  • Identify the key APAC client targets and implement an opportunity management process developing formal Opportunity Plans for these customers.
  • Analyze sales forecast and sales awards to highlight trends and areas for improvement
  • Lead the account activities of business development, relationships, and customer engagement.
  • Coordinate with Yokogawa regional businesses.
  • Manage sales & the marketing process to:
  • Generate and qualify leads

    Source and develop client referrals

    Respond to sales inquiries and concerns by phone, electronically or in person

    Monitor and report on sales activities and follow up for management

    Prepare sales action plans and strategies

    Develop and maintain a customer database and manage opportunities within the existing CRM system

    Develop and maintain sales and promotional materials

    Participate in sales & marketing events

    Negotiate with clients

    Develop sales proposals and ensure they are submitted in a timely manner by coordinating with the relevant internal parties (e.g. PM’s, CS, etc.)

    Assist CS with initial contract (Service Agreement, Software Agreement) preparation and final contract preparation and review.

    Ensure contracts are correctly booked as Sales Awards

    Administer contract handover process to Operations and Finance

    Maintain sales activity records and prepare sales reports

  • Pre-sales Activities :

  • Deliver E&S Solution presentation and technology Demo

    Participate and support the delivery of pre-sales engagement workshop

    Preliminary technical information collection and review for solution design, with support from other experts in the companies

    Feedback and support Product Management to improve marketing and pre-sales material and tools (e.g. questionnaire, survey etc.)

    Provision of training and sales guide to Yokogawa LBO, DES responsible sales and business development personnel on KBC Energy and Sustainability Portfolio

    Internal marketing and sharing to KBC other business groups regularly

    Position Requirements:

  • 7+ years of industry experience, specific experience on process/energy management will be a plus
  • 2+ years in similar sales or sales support position
  • BS or MS degree or equivalent in Chemical / Process Engineering or MBA
  • General knowledge of process industry and fundamental of energy efficiency, energy management and decarbonization
  • General business management experience
  • Experience in sales, proposals and contract administration
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills (excellent English skills, both written and oral) and the ability to deal with colleagues and clients professionally. Proficiency in other languages is a plus.
  • Knowledge of the principles and practice of complex solution sales
  • Prior experience of working in a multinational organization and as part of a global team is an advantage.
  • Ability to work well in a team environment and willingness to assist others
  • Display a high level of professionalism towards colleagues and as an ambassador of the company
  • Must be a self-starter who demonstrates a flexible approach
  • Must have right to work in Singapore (Singapore Citizen or PR preferred)
  • Must be available to travel
