Main Aspects of Job:

  • Provide analysis of different business opportunities to support product growth
  • Possess a unique blend of business and technical savvy
  • Enjoy spending time in the market to understand their problems, and find innovative solutions for the broader market
  • Collaborate with R&D to define product requirements, helping R&D to understand requirements use cases and assisting in writing elaboration documents
  • Cooperate with Sales to help them understand product positioning, user personas and use case examples
  • Liaise with technical support to help them understand new functionality and assist with client support
  • Assist in developing sample and demo cases as well as product testing
  • Serve as the internal and external evangelist for your product offering, occasionally working with the sales channel and key customers

Main Roles and Responsibilities:

  • Specifies market requirements for current and future products by conducting market research supported by on-going visits to customers and non-customers
  • Drives a solution set across development teams to ensure software requirements are met, customer needs are fulfilled and high quality is maintained
  • Generates and maintains marketing, support and training materials
  • Implements the company-wide go-to-market plan, working with all departments to execute
  • Drives formal technical reviews, product testing, and requirement acceptance
  • Owns partnerships with alliance companies and is responsible for their role within the product focus area
  • Assists with key client sales visits to demonstrate technology features
  • Selects and participates in key industry events as the representative for the product
  • Supports in the management of multiple sales channels including agents, partners, joint ventures and alliances ensuring they have the information needed
  • Builds / maintains awareness of KBC's other product lines
  • Actively supports company Knowledge Management
  • Represents Company at industry conferences, present papers
  • Plays a key role in KBC innovation forums
  • Active member in relevant industry forums

Position Requirements:

  • Previous technical support or consulting experience
  • Experienced product user, familiarity with competitive products a bonus
  • Relevant industry experience
  • Knowledgeable in hydrocarbon industry and technology
  • Familiarity with at least one of Upstream, Refining and Petrochemical Design and Operations.
  • Knowledge of dynamic process simulation is preferred
  • Focus on internal and external customer satisfaction
  • Demonstration of high quality of technical ability / competence / productivity
  • Product Awards, Revenue, Margin and Growth
  • Completion of work on schedule, within budget and achievement of planned margins
  • Development and maintenance of good relationships with clients
  • Development and sustainment of awareness of KBC Portfolio
  • Communication and Interpersonal skills
  • Ability to work well in team environment without supervision and willingness to assist others
