Main Purpose of Job

Contribute to the development and delivery of the global strategic HR priorities across the business to provide an employee-oriented company culture that emphasizes quality, continuous improvement, high performance, and employee retention and development. This position carries out responsibilities in the following functional areas:

  • Recruitment
  • Policy documentation
  • Employee relations and recognition
  • Performance management and development cycle
  • Training and development
  • Company employee communication engagement

Main Roles and Responsibilities

Development of the Human Resources Department

  • Actively contributes to the Global HR Team and assists key projects/areas of responsibility on a global basis
  • Coordinates the implementation of HR programs, identifies opportunities for improvement and resolves problems
  • Conducts continuing studies of all HR policies, programs, and practices to keep informed of new developments and initiate updates as required
  • Participates in company staff meetings and attends other internal and external meetings and seminars as requested
  • Administer the HR Intranet site and prepares regional/global monthly employee newsletter
  • Maintain HR Information System and personnel records


  • Responsible for full life cycle recruitment using standard hiring practices and procedures
  • Provides analysis and recommendations in talent management, workforce planning and resourcing

Employee Relations

  • Participates in Employee Representative Team Meetings as determined by the HR Manager in establishing a positive employer-employee relationship and promoting a high level of employee morale and motivation
  • Prepares and coordinates the supporting administrative requirements for new starters and leavers (linkage to the alumni program)
  • Conducts investigations and assists in handling employee relations matter

Training and Development

  • Schedules the on-boarding program for new employees
  • Assists with the talent development programs and learning and development curriculum
  • Maintains employee training records to include health and safety


  • Monitors best practices in compensation and benefits through research and up-to-date information on available products
  • Assists the administration of the salary review and performance award processes

Benefits Administration

  • Develops and schedules benefit orientations and other benefits training for employees
  • Answer questions regarding eligibility, benefits, and other pertinent information

Legal and Immigration

  • Maintains compliance with federal, state and local employment and benefits laws and regulations.
  • Prepares information requested or required for compliance with laws
  • Assists in domestic immigration issues and international work permits

Position Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree or equivalent in HR, Business or Organization Development
  • 3 to 5 years of HR generalist experience
  • Ideal candidate would be bilingual: Fluent English and Spanish
  • Experience with HRIS systems
  • LinkedIn recruitment knowledge and/or certification desired
  • Understanding of HR best practices and current regulations
  • Excellent verbal, written and interpersonal communication skills
  • Ability to operate with the highest level of integrity and confidentiality
  • Ability to exercise discretion, sound judgment, tact, and diplomacy in all communications
  • Excellent relationship management skills
  • Strong organizational and time management skills
  • Ability to successfully manage multiple priorities
